What days are US banks closed in 2024? ›

The answer is yes, banks are open on Good Friday. While Good Friday is not a bank holiday, it is one of several stock market holidays in 2024.

While Good Friday is a widely observed Christian holiday, it is not a federal US holiday. So USPS and local post offices will be open and operating normally on March 29, 2024.

Banks follow the Federal Reserve's holiday calendar, which does not recognize Good Friday as a holiday, so most banking institutions in the US, including banks such as Capital One, Bank of America, CitiBank and JPMorgan Chase, will be open during their usual hours.

How much money can I transfer? Most Chase accounts have a $25,000 per day limit. Chase Private Client and Chase Sapphire Banking limits are $100,000 per day. Keep in mind, your other bank may have a different transfer limit.

Generally, the day after New Year's day is a public holiday in Scotland. Given that the 2nd of January is a Tuesday, this bank holiday falls on the 2nd of January 2024.
